Yom Sheini, 29 Adar 5777

Social JusticeThroughout its history, Temple Israel has seen itself as more than a synagogue located in New Rochelle and Westchester County, but rather as a vital part of the greater community. As members of a community beyond the walls of our Temple, we must always be aware of our neighbors, their needs and how we can work together to improve the lives of all those around us. With that in mind, Temple Israel has always been in partnership with local community organizations to support various initiatives. We are active in the Jewish, interreligious and non-Jewish community groups in Westchester, with many of Temple Israel's members serving in leadership positions with these institutions.
