Yom Sheini, 29 Adar 5777

Temple Israel is proud to be a Reform congregation. As Reform Jews, we are constantly on a mission to better ourselves, our world and our Judaism through a permanent engagement with our past, present and future. Reform Judaism's ideal of personal choice, through knowledge, informs our decisions and helps us shape each person's Jewish life.

We are members of the Reform Movement through our membership in the URJ, or Union for Reform Judaism. Founded by Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise in 1873 as the Union of American Hebrew Congregation, the URJ serves Reform congregations across North America, providing services, programs and educational materials.

Valuable resources provided by the URJ include: a biennial convention, Torah study in the digital age, Jewish summer camp experiences, social action opportunities, and ways to express our love for the State of Israel.
