Kadimah (for 7th & 8th Grades)

Kadimah Shul-InMeaning “forward,” Temple Israel’s Kadimah program for 7th and 8th graders is designed as a stepping stone toward the high school Youth Group. These students have greater autonomy and are given opportunities to participate in planning events. Each year's program gives participants a taste of the religious, social, and community action aspects of Temple life. Events are often co-planned with Club 56 to allow Kadimah students the opportunity to take on leadership roles. Eighth graders are encouraged to attend the high school Youth Group’s spring events and to start becoming active members of this group.

Kadimah Hibachi NightIn the past, our schedule has included: barbecues, volunteering at the local soup kitchen, hibachi night, trip to Sportime USA, shul-in sleepover, Chanukah party for special needs children, ski trip, lounge night, baseball game, movie night, chocolate seder, and Maccabiah (Olympics).
