Yom Sheini, 15 Shevat 5779

Nurturing our Social Conscience

on Sunday, 16 October 2016.

Kehillah students commemorated the contributions of Martin Luther King Jr. by singing his praises, enjoying a book, and creating their own artwork about this inspirational leader. Their works of art were shared with the congregation in an exhibit at the Temple-wide MLK celebration on Shabbat.

At next Wednesday's PJ Party event, each student will donate a new pair of pajamas for children in need. Adding to the enjoyment of giving, our students will learn about bedtime rituals, practice the Shema, and decorate pillowcases with Kehillah School and PJ Library logos.

Students were given the January "Stories for Life" CD, containing Bal Tashcheet tales with conservation lessons read by clergy and staff members.  This month, Kehillah students are learning to protect our resources.

Only at the Kehillah School will families find such enriching ethical education alongside the Bright Horizons Family Solutions curriculum. Our unique school is open year-round, with both part-time and full-day programs for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years. As such, we cater to both home-based parents and full-time working families who are seeking social, cultural and cognitive development as well as moral guidance for their children.

For more information or to register for our programs, please contact the school office at (914) 637-3808 or Kehillah@TINR.org.
