Family Education

Temple Israel believes strongly in engaging students of all ages in Jewish learning. Throughout the year, Religious School families are invited to join their children at the temple to learn together.

Boker B’Yachad:
Sunday School parents are invited to spend the morning at
school with their children, their children’s teachers and the clergy at least once during the course of the year. A complete family education program wherein parents and children learn together will take place as part of this event. In addition, adults will have time to study the theme of the morning with one of the clergy.

Yom Iyun:
Students in our high school program gather as a large group three to four times during the school year for an informal program. Topics range from Jewish identity, to teen issues, to bringing God into our lives. Parents of these students are invited to one or two of these programs to encourage Jewish growth with the whole family.
