Temple Israel of New Rochelle believes that nothing is more important than engaging and educating our children in Judaism. No child is too young to experience all that we have to offer. For years, Temple Israel has been a leader in creative programming for children under six years of age. The commitment that Temple Israel has made to this age group is most obvious from our recent investment in the renovation of our early childhood wing. During the week, this wing is a year-round dedicated space for the Kehillah School and Kamp Kehillah; on the weekends, all of our programs for families with young children, as well as the youngest students in Chavaya (our religious school), enjoy our beautiful new space. Come introduce your youngster to all the wonderful happenings here at Temple Israel.
Having recently blended our Judaic teachings with the curricula of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, our doors and arms are open to children as young as six weeks of age. We welcome families of all faiths to learn about the part-time and full-time program options of our Kehillah School for Early Learning.
PJ LIBRARY IS A NATIONAL BOOK PROGRAM implemented on a local level. It is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, which is made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations throughout North America.

Our TOT SHABBAT celebrations are a monthly burst of energy focused on the warmth, comfort, love and fun, so that families can spend time together during Shabbat in the synagogue. Families join our clergy in a casual gathering of song and prayer, art and refreshments. Of course we include a bagel brunch and schmoozing! Often the highlight of the month for our families with young children, these events are often as much fun for the moms and dads as they are for their kids!
Our monthly Tot Shabbat celebrations are open to everyone. In the hopes that you’ll be able to join us, here are the Saturday dates when we are coming together during the current term. Click to add them to your calendar.
