Beginning in January 2020 Temple Israel will collect NEW PENCILS for students. It is difficult to believe that children arrive at school without pencils. District 8 is trying to collect 1,000,000 pencils by February 3. Let’s see what Temple Israel can do! We will continue to collect pencils throughout the year, but our big push is right now! Click here for the flyer

Sisterhood – Mamboniks Night
Saturday, March 21, 2020 • Doors open at 7 pm, Evening begins at 7:30 pm
All welcome to join Sisterhood for a movie evening of The Mamboniks. “During the 1950s, free-spirited, mostly Jewish dancers from New York City fell head over heels for the mambo, a hot dance from Havana, Cuba. Their love for Latin rhythms earned them a nickname: the mamboniks.” This movie “tells a surprising, little-known story: how two cultures, Jewish and Latin, met on the dance floor at a time when America was racially segregated, and anti-Semitism was commonplace.”
$18 per adult, $25 at the door. Click here to RSVP ahead of time to accommodate for the wine & cheese. Questions? Email Jackie Saril. Click here to see the trailer.
